hot weather

I was out searching for a “holy crap it’s hot” feature (seems like you wouldn’t need those in places where you expect it to be hot, but you do), and I got a call.

“Pretty good little house fire,” the editor said. “Should be a good picture there of a hot fireman, or at least … a house burning.”

So, I drove over. It was almost out when I got there, which is strange because he called me when he heard it go out on the scanner, and I was only 5 miles away. But the fire was pretty much out and this is a photo of the firemen coming out of the house. I wasn’t sure if it was good at first, but I dig it now.

Also, I’m normally not a fan of black and white because it’s usually just an excuse to not have to deal with color (in my opinion). But it works better on this one because the mid day sun crapped out the color of the grass and it’s mostly all black and white colors anyways.
