Description

I’m in Chicago for Colleen and Andrew’s wedding. It was the first military wedding I’ve been to, and this was one of the most unique parts about it. Four Marines lined up with swords and Andrew and Colleen walked through the arch. At that point, the back two dropped their swords, and the front two locked them in. Then they walk through the front two, and after that the front two swords drop, symbolizing a new life, and it’s a locked gate to the past. Oh, and the last Marine gives a nice little tap on the rear to the bride, just for good luck .

Congrats to Colleen and Andrew, and thank you Andrew & Co. for your service to our country. It was an honor to get to photograph you wedding.
