This was the photo I was assigned to shoot for the Courier-Journal at the Kentucky Derby yesterday. It’s not the iconic photo you typically see from the Derby, but I didn’t mind.I got to shoot the first turn two years ago, so this was kind of different. I was up in a scaffold and shooting just a wide shot to capture all of the horses.
