Can you imagine coming out to get your paper and finding this big guy hanging out on your mail box? I was in Middlesboro for the weekend and saw this hawk hanging out on my parent’s neighbor’s box. I think it hangs out here because she feeds pigeons, so it’s like a buffet.
I shot this on dad’s 20D with his 75-300. I wish I had thrown it on my 5D Mark II, because it would have blown up better and I could have cropped in better. I wish I could have cropped down just to the box, but it’s already been pushed pretty hard. Ah well. I just thought this was neat and wanted to share.

That’s funny. I’d feel bad for the guy delivering the paper. How’s that 5D treating you? I love mine. I still use my 40d occasionally and it depresses me when i can compare the quality of the two and I kind of kick myself for not moving up to higher end camera’s sooner.
I love my 5D Mark II. It’s clearly the best camera I’ve ever owned, haha. It makes toning a breeze. I wish I had upgraded sooner too but I know I couldn’t have afforded to haha.
