Yesterday I shot a news conference for the Courier-Journal about Nina Keown, a woman in the area who has been missing for around three weeks. Her mother, Debbie, was at the news conference, along with Scott County Sheriff John Lizenby. It’s hard to watch a grieving mother talk about losing her daughter. But as my mentor Dave LaBelle taught me when I first started in this business, it hurts to take those pictures but you have to realize what you’re doing is for the greater good.
